From Texas and Tennessee to Hawaii

Colleen, an artist hailing from central Texas, studied regenerative farming, became an educator, and a small business owner moving to Hawaii during COVID-19. David is a disabled veteran who comes from Nashville, TN and served with the Army in Afghanistan; after his time in uniform worked as an Antiterrorism officer and later a planner for the Department of Defense in Hawaii.

The world had gotten too crazy too fast and they decided there was a better way to live. They had a dream on their own, which they now share together of working a better way; growing food and raising animals that are safe to eat, good for the pasture, the woods, and the water around them. Traveling to look for places to settle down and make their dreams a reality they choose the Upper Peninsula of Michigan; a place they now proudly call home.

The choice wasn’t for an easier life, but a simpler one… a safer one away from cities, and noise, crime and pollution. To ethically grow their own food and raise their own meat with care, to use as much as they can, and through bountiful hard work help their community around them by sharing extra harvest, and providing good clean well made products to use and eat.
